...was by far my favourite colour when I was young, but for some reason I don't have any yellow in either my wardrobe or my home (apart from the bunch of flowers sitting on my kitchen counter!)
I also love the idea of injecting some yellow into my home. The yellow against the wood and the stark white walls in the photo above looks amazing. The colour pops, but its still quite subtle.
Isn't this lovely?
I love the simplicity of a knee skimming skirt with a pretty blouse.

I didn't realise quite how many books and magazines I had until I moved in with my boyfriend.

This outfit is amazing. I've attempted to replicate it below - but to suit my (rather limited) budget!
T-shirt: Old Navy
I can't believe she's due in three weeks
and of course, lots and lots of presents
I love everything about this.
My new favourite place for coffee.

When Kate cut her hair into this gamine crop I remember being not at all keen. How could I have been so wrong? I found this gorgeous photo of her on her way to Stella McCartney's Chloe show (A/W 01/02). She looks so elfin, and doesn't it look like it was taken back in the 60s?
Every time I came across each one of these photos I thought I'd found my ideal bedroom but looking at them all now I really can't choose which one I like the most. Isn't that always the way? I would love to have a home with windows as huge as those above (all that light streaming in every morning, sigh), I think the winter wonderland feel of the room below is so cosy and magical, but I can't help but be drawn to the messily creative room at the bottom. That bedspread looks so warm.

I absolutely love this poem by Charles Bukowski:
there’s a bluebird in my heart that
wants to get out
but I’m too tough for him,
I say, stay in there, I’m not going
to let anybody see
you.
there’s a bluebird in my heart that
wants to get out
but I pour whiskey on him and inhale
cigarette smoke
and the whores and the bartenders
and the grocery clerks
never know that
he’s
in there.
there’s a bluebird in my heart that
wants to get out
but I’m too tough for him,
I say,
stay down, do you want to mess
me up?
you want to screw up the
works?
you want to blow my book sales in
Europe?
there’s a bluebird in my heart that
wants to get out
but I’m too clever, I only let him out
at night sometimes
when everybody’s asleep.
I say, I know that you’re there,
so don’t be sad.
then I put him back,
but he’s still singing a little
in there, I haven’t quite let him
die
and we sleep together like
that
with our
secret pact
and it’s nice enough to
make a man
weep, but I don’t
weep, do
you?
Aren't these laser-cut cards beautiful? They're from the Hummingbird Card Company.
