A darling Brooklyn apartment

Thursday, 20 January 2011

I recently came across the blog, Darling Dexter. Not quite sure how I didn't find it earlier - especially as I'd been swooning over the bedroom in their old NY apartment for months. I was so excited to see photos of their new apartment in Brooklyn. Just as amazing - as these photos (via Design*Sponge) show...

A touch of blue

Friday, 27 November 2009

I'm still absolutely smitten with this bedroom that I posted about back in July. I just adore the light blue walls. So uplifting.

Here they are again - tempting me to just go for it this Christmas and liven up one of our rooms (bedroom or living room? I'm leaning towards bedroom...) with a slick of sky blue paint.

Sweet Dreams

Sunday, 9 August 2009

Every time I came across each one of these photos I thought I'd found my ideal bedroom but looking at them all now I really can't choose which one I like the most. Isn't that always the way? I would love to have a home with windows as huge as those above (all that light streaming in every morning, sigh), I think the winter wonderland feel of the room below is so cosy and magical, but I can't help but be drawn to the messily creative room at the bottom. That bedspread looks so warm.

See, this is why I need a three bedroom house!

English Girl in New York

Alexa Chung's bohemian pad in NYC.

Love the record player by the side of the bed and the union jack scarf - and have to admit, I'm a sucker for fairy lights, they can't help but make a place look magical.
