I started a short course on interior design yesterday as our flat is crying out for some work. The problem we have is getting a good compromise between what he wants (lots of hard surfaces, metal finishes) and what I want from the flat (warmth and fun). This really would be the perfect solution - I love the fairy lights against the metal roof and the chandelier in the dining room, *sigh*.
