Country wedding

We attended such a lovely wedding here a few weeks ago.

Never ending glasses of Pimms and champagne, school sports day-type games (think egg and spoon and you're on the right track!), gyspy caravans for us guests, amaaaazing food (that chocolate dessert, wow) and a great selection of cheesy music to end the evening off. And we even had brilliant sunshine. In September.

Papermash

I'm a bit of a geek when it comes to wrapping presents and sending little thank you notes. I love it! I've been checking out this new UK-based shop, Papermash. Its the baby of Lynne, of Tea for Joy, and she stocks the loveliest and quirkiest things. I especially love the wine tag, and my milk and cookies thank you cards arrived last week - even nicer than in the picture!

Wow

I started a short course on interior design yesterday as our flat is crying out for some work. The problem we have is getting a good compromise between what he wants (lots of hard surfaces, metal finishes) and what I want from the flat (warmth and fun). This really would be the perfect solution - I love the fairy lights against the metal roof and the chandelier in the dining room, *sigh*.

Last month we headed out to Nice for a few days.

We had a great time checking out the local markets, eating our way through a lot of socca and sailing to St Tropez.
